Event Edge Rentals · Hartwell, Georgia
Everything about renting from us, before you have to ask.
Most rental companies make you call to find out what something costs. We would rather you knew it all up front, in writing: the prices, the fees that could apply, what the contract actually says, and what happens if it rains.
Every charge we are capable of putting on an invoice is written on this page. If a fee is not here, you will never pay it.
Read what you need and skip the rest. If you would still rather talk to a person, we are at 706-237-8070, but you should not have to.
Event Edge Rentals, LLC is veteran-owned and based in Hartwell, Georgia. Twelve units. SIOTO Advanced Certified operator. Fully insured. Georgia is where we are set up and licensed today — if you are near Hartwell on the South Carolina side, call us and we will walk through it.
Every rental includes all of this, at no extra cost:
There is no mandatory damage waiver. No setup charge. No fuel surcharge. No service fee.
The number on your quote is the number you pay.
Every unit is priced in four tiers. You pick the one that fits your day, and the price for each tier is published on that unit’s page. We do not do call for pricing.
A standard party window, picked up the same day. Good for a two-hour birthday with buffer on both ends.
A longer event, picked up the same day.
We deliver, the unit stays overnight, and we come back the next morning to pick up. This is the one most people want when they do not want to watch a clock.
We deliver Friday and pick up Monday morning.
To make it concrete, here is our flagship, the 22-foot Tropical dual-lane water slide: $525 for up to 8 hours, $650 for a full day, $875 for the full weekend. There is no 4-hour rate on this one, and that is deliberate. A short rental costs us the same truck, the same crew, and the same setup as a long one, so instead of charging you less for less time, we start you at eight hours — if the party only runs four, you have the rest of the window and nobody is watching a clock. Not every unit offers a 4-hour option; the ones that do show it on their own page. Live pricing for all twelve units is on each unit’s page.
What a full weekend actually means: we deliver Friday and pick up Monday morning. That is the window the full-weekend rate covers. If pickup slips to later in the day Monday, the rental rolls into the next rental day and the price goes up with it. So if you need the unit past Monday morning, say so when you book and we will quote it that way up front rather than adding it afterward.
For any date three or more days out, you can book yourself. You will see the full price including delivery and tax before you enter a card, and you can lock the date without talking to anyone.
Inside 72 hours, call us at 706-237-8070. That is deliberate. We need lead time to confirm the unit is back, cleaned, and that we have a crew for your slot. We would rather tell you honestly on the phone that we can make it work than let a booking auto-confirm that we cannot staff.
Bookings made inside 72 hours of your event are paid in full at booking rather than deposit plus balance. That is the same line as the online booking cutoff, which keeps the whole thing simple: three or more days out, you book online and put down the 25% deposit. Inside three days, you call us and pay in full. There is no time left in the schedule to unwind a reservation that close in, so we do not hold those dates on a partial payment.
Sooner is better than later, and that is not a sales line — we own one of each unit, so once a date is spoken for, it is gone. Two to four weeks out is comfortable for most parties. For graduation season, church festivals, and holiday weekends, a month or more is realistic.
Booking online needs at least three days of lead time. Inside 72 hours of your event the online calendar closes, so call us at 706-237-8070 and we will tell you straight whether we can still cover you. Bookings made inside that 72-hour window are paid in full at the time of booking rather than on the usual 25% deposit.
If your date is still loose, reach out anyway. We would rather talk it through early than have you find out in June that the weekend is already booked.
Delivery is free within 25 miles of Hartwell. That covers all of Hart County. If you are in the county, your delivery is $0.
Past 25 miles it is $4.00 per mile, one way, and only on the miles beyond 25. We do not bill you for our drive home.
Two things can stretch that free radius further:
So the free radius is 25 miles to start, 35 miles once your rental subtotal reaches $400, and 40 miles if you have the unit for the full weekend. Whichever one helps you most is the one we apply.
Past 40 miles we do not take the booking online. Give us a call at 706-237-8070 and we will look at the date and the drive and tell you honestly whether we can make it work.
Distance is measured as actual road miles to your delivery address, not straight-line distance. As a rough sense of scale, a single-day rental under $400 going about 32 road miles out is roughly 7 billable miles, so about $28. That same trip is free if the rental subtotal is $400 or more, or if you keep the unit for the full weekend.
The exact fee is calculated from your address and shown in your online quote before you pay anything. You will never find out what delivery costs at the door.
Yes. Multiple units on one date is normal for us, and we will build a custom package if you tell us the headcount, the ages, and how much room you have.
Two things worth knowing. Combining units is often what pushes an order past $400, which is where free delivery stretches from 25 miles out to 35 — so the second unit can land cheaper than you expect once delivery is figured in. And a multi-unit setup takes longer on site, so we may ask for a slightly wider delivery window.
Tell us what you are planning and we will quote the whole day at once.
To keep setup fast and safe, before we arrive please have:
If staking is needed, calling 811 to get underground utilities marked is the property owner’s responsibility. We cannot be responsible for damage to lines that were never marked or disclosed.
No outlet available is not a problem, and it is never a reason we turn around. We rent a 3,500W generator for $100 per day, so grab it at booking if you think you might need it. Fair warning in the other direction: if a unit goes down because of a problem with your own electrical setup and we have to come back out, that is a $65 service call.
One thing we will not bend on: if the setup area is genuinely unsafe when we arrive, we will not set up. That is a safety line, not a sales tactic.
Grass is ideal. We stake into it, it holds well, and it is the softest ground around the unit.
Concrete, pavers, and asphalt are fine. We cannot stake those, so we anchor with sandbags and lay protection under the unit. There is a $50 hard-surface charge when we set up that way, and it is on the fee list on this page, not something we spring on you.
We cannot set up on rocks, gravel, or sharp or badly uneven ground. That is a vinyl-tearing, injury-risk setup and we will turn it down rather than take the chance.
Tell us the surface when you book. It takes ten seconds, it gets your quote priced right the first time, and it means nobody is having an awkward conversation in your driveway on delivery morning.
Straight answer: because booking you means turning other people away.
When you book, that unit comes off the calendar for your date and nobody else can rent it. We also block the crew slot, which is the truck, the fuel, and two people’s time for the delivery window and again for pickup. From that moment on, the cost of your booking is real for us whether or not the event happens.
The deposit is 25% of your order total, with a $50 minimum, and it holds all of that. The balance is due at delivery, before we unload. Your reservation is not confirmed until we have both a signed agreement and the deposit.
The $50 floor exists for the same reason. Our smallest rental still costs us a truck, a tank of fuel, and two people for the round trip. On a $200 rental, 25% is $50, so for most orders the floor and the percentage are the same number anyway. It only matters on the very smallest bookings, where 25% would not cover the trip we are committing to.
We are not holding your money to be difficult. It comes straight off your balance.
Yes — and we would rather you used it for the whole rental than for the deposit.
At checkout, choose Entire Balance rather than the 25% deposit, then pick Afterpay. Your rental is split into four equal payments, two weeks apart, with no interest. The first comes out at checkout and the other three run automatically. Your booking is paid in full from our side, and there is nothing to settle when the truck shows up.
Why we point you at the full balance. Afterpay splits whatever amount is in the box at that moment. If you use it on just the deposit, you have split a quarter of the order into four small payments and you still owe the other 75% in cash, check or card at delivery, on the morning of your event. That does not actually help you. Splitting the whole rental does.
The approval is Afterpay’s call, not ours. They decide in a few seconds and we never see your financial information. If they decline, nothing happens to your booking — you just pay the normal way instead. Afterpay charges you a late fee if you miss one of the four payments, and their terms are on screen before you commit to anything.
Afterpay costs you nothing extra here. We do not add a card fee to it, or to anything else — the total on the screen is the total. Apple Pay and Google Pay work the same way.
No. The price you are quoted is the price you pay. Card, debit, cash, check, Afterpay, Apple Pay, Google Pay — every method costs you the same. We do not add a card processing fee, a service fee, a fuel fee, or a mandatory damage waiver.
We used to pass the card processing cost through at 3.0%. We stopped. It was the one place we were doing the thing we criticise other companies for, and it is not worth the goodwill it costs at checkout. We absorb it now.
The only charges that can ever appear on your order beyond the rental price are ones you can see coming: delivery past the free zone (spelled out above), Georgia sales tax at your delivery county rate, add-ons you asked for such as a generator, and the situational charges listed further down — which are things like a hard-surface setup needing sandbags. Every one of those is quoted before it is applied. Nothing gets added to your card after your event without a conversation first.
One thing that has not changed: a returned check adds a $75 fee on top of the balance. Checks payable to Event Edge Rentals, LLC.
Georgia sales tax is destination-based. The rate follows the address where the party is, not where our office is.
So a rental delivered in Hartwell is taxed at the Hart County rate of 7%. The same rental delivered to Athens is taxed at the Clarke County rate of 8%. Same slide, same price, different county, different tax.
We do not set those rates and we do not keep the money. It goes to the state. Your quote calculates the correct rate from your delivery address automatically, so what you see online is what it actually is.
Tax applies to the rental subtotal plus delivery. Not to the card processing fee.
Most customers pay none of these. None of them apply automatically. Every one is a situation that either happens or does not, and if one comes up, a person tells you before it goes on your invoice. Nothing appears on a bill you have not heard about first.
Here is the complete list from the agreement you sign, what triggers each one, and how to make sure it never touches you.
Trigger: setting up on concrete, asphalt, or pavers, anywhere we cannot drive stakes. Sandbags are heavier, slower, and it takes more of them.
Avoid it: set up on grass if you have it. If you do not, tell us your surface at booking and we quote it up front, so it is never a door surprise.
Trigger: a large footprint or an exposed site that needs more ballast than the standard set.
Avoid it: describe the surface and the site honestly at booking so we bring the right count the first time.
Trigger: undisclosed stairs, a narrow gate, a long carry, or a steep grade. These units are heavy.
Avoid it: mention stairs, gates, and tight paths when you book, and measure your gate. If we know in advance, we plan for it and there is no charge.
Trigger: pickup after 9:00 p.m., by arrangement.
Avoid it: book the tier that actually covers your event. If your party tends to run late, Full Day is usually cheaper than an after-hours pickup on an 8-Hour.
Trigger: we arrive and cannot complete the delivery, because the site is unusable, there is no access, or no adult is present at the scheduled window.
Avoid it: be there, have an adult who can sign, keep animals secured, and make sure the site matches what you told us.
Trigger: we have to come back out for a power problem caused by your electrical setup.
Avoid it: use a dedicated 110V / 20-amp circuit within 50 feet, and only the cords we supply. If you are unsure, take the generator.
Trigger: food, drinks, gum, candy, mud, or clay on or in the unit.
Avoid it: put the snack table somewhere else. That is the whole trick, and this never applies when the unit comes back clean.
Trigger: any of the three, in or on the unit. This one is priced separately because it is genuinely different. Silly string permanently stains vinyl and confetti works into every seam, so severe cases can escalate to repair or replacement value.
Avoid it: keep party spray away from the unit entirely. If you want a confetti moment, do it across the yard.
Trigger: hoses, sprinklers, or water balloons on a unit contracted as dry. Wet units are built for it, dry ones are not, and a soaked dry unit has to be fully dried before it can go out again.
Avoid it: book a wet unit if there is any chance of water. Ask us, because several of ours run wet or dry and switching at booking costs nothing.
Trigger: the unit was deflated before our crew arrived and left that way. We have to inspect and repack it inflated.
Avoid it: leave it up until we get there. If you had to shut it down, that is fine, just switch the blower back on before pickup.
Trigger: company-supplied blower not returned with the unit.
Trigger: company-supplied cord not returned with the unit.
Trigger: anchoring stakes not returned with the unit.
Trigger: cut or torn vinyl or netting, overloading, improper use, or abuse. Replacement runs up to $15,000 depending on the unit.
Avoid it: no shoes, no sharp objects, no jewelry or belt buckles, no climbing the outside, and no rough play. Those rules exist because of this line.
Trigger: cutting power to the blower while people are on the unit. It causes sudden collapse, it is the fastest way to get someone hurt, and it can wreck the blower or the unit.
Avoid it: never unplug the blower with riders on. Clear everyone off first, every time.
Before your event we confirm your power source, surface, gate width, and footprint with you. That conversation is where nearly every one of these fees gets prevented. Answer it honestly, because an unexpected charge and an unexpected problem come from exactly the same place.
Two documents, plus one card. The Rental Agreement, which you sign once at booking. The Participant Waiver, signed by everyone who gets on the equipment. And a Safety Briefing Card you sign at delivery.
Read the agreement in full before you sign it. What follows is a plain-language guide to the parts people ask about, not a replacement for the document itself.
When we finish setup, we walk the rules with you out loud: adult supervision, occupancy limits, grouping kids by size, no shoes or glasses, no flips or rough play, no food or party spray, do not move the unit after we have anchored it, and never cut power to the blower while people are on it. You sign a card confirming we did that with you.
It takes about five minutes and it is the single most useful thing that happens at delivery. It is not paperwork theater. It is the part where you learn how to shut the unit down if the weather turns.
A competent adult, 18 or older, has to actively supervise each unit in use, the entire time it is inflated. Not nearby. Watching. While the equipment is in your possession, you are the operator.
You are also agreeing to enforce the rules with everyone who uses it, including guests you do not know well: posted occupancy limits, similar sizes and ages together, no large and small children on at the same time, no climbing the outside, no shoes or jewelry.
We can set the unit up perfectly. We cannot watch it for you. We also leave a safety card with the unit, and the agreement asks you to keep it posted where people can see it and to pass the occupancy limits and the rules along to every guest and to the parent of every child.
Shut the unit down and get everyone off immediately if:
These are not suggestions. Wind is the thing that hurts people at inflatable events. If any of the three happens, evacuate first and call us second at 706-237-8070. In a real emergency, call 911 first, then us.
If the blower stops or pressure drops, get everyone off, then check the cord, the breaker, the air intake screen, and that both air tubes at the back are snug. If that does not fix it, call us and do not resume use until the unit is fully re-inflated.
You are responsible for the equipment from delivery until pickup is complete.
Normal wear is on us. Scuffs, fading, ordinary use marks, a stretched seam from thousands of jumps. That is the cost of being in this business and we do not bill for it. Matted grass or a lawn divot from setup is expected too, and it is our problem, not yours.
Negligence is on you. Tears from shoes or sharp objects, damage from rough play, stains from prohibited substances, a unit moved or re-anchored after we set it, or missing components. The amounts are the ones listed in the fee section above, and they are the same numbers printed in the agreement you sign.
There is no mandatory damage waiver on your invoice. Some companies auto-add 4 to 7 percent to every order for one. We do not. That is the tradeoff we are being open about: no automatic fee, and in exchange, real damage is genuinely your responsibility.
The equipment also stays at the event address on your agreement. It cannot be moved, lent, or handed off to someone else.
Section 9 of the Rental Agreement is a release of liability, and the agreement flags it in bold on the first page for exactly that reason. Signing it means you accept that inflatable equipment carries real risk of injury even when everything is done correctly, and that you give up your own right to sue us over equipment use, including claims based on our ordinary carelessness.
Here is where that release stops. We would rather you hear it from us now than find it later:
What you do take on is the promise that every person who plays will have signed a Participant Waiver first, and that a competent adult is watching each unit the whole time it is in use.
That is a real legal document with real consequences. Read Section 9 yourself before you sign, and if anything in it is unclear, ask us or ask your own attorney. We would rather answer the question than have you sign something you did not read.
New in the current agreement, and we would rather you read it here than find it later. If you paid by card, that card stays on file and we can charge it for damage, cleaning, or replacement — up to the full replacement cost of a unit, which on our largest slide can reach $15,000. That is not a number we expect to use. It is the number that exists because these are commercial units and a destroyed one is a real loss.
What we have to do before charging you anything. Send you written notice with the amount, the reason, and an itemised breakdown, attach the photographs, and then wait five days before the charge goes through. You get a chance to respond first, every time. If you disagree, tell us and give us ten business days to sort it out before you go to your card company.
If you paid a way that leaves no card. Cash, check, Afterpay, Apple Pay and Google Pay do not leave us a card to charge. Nothing changes about what you owe — you are still responsible, and we invoice you with fifteen days to pay. On our highest-value units we may ask for a separate card authorisation or a refundable damage deposit before we deliver.
Normal wear is still on us. This is for cutting, tearing, overloading, unplugging the blower mid-use, or a unit that comes back destroyed.
Georgia law governs events held in Georgia. If something goes wrong, we try to work it out directly first, then mediation in Hart County before anyone files anything.
The Rental Agreement covers you, the person renting. The Participant Waiver covers the people who actually get on the unit.
Everyone who plays signs one. Adults sign for themselves. A parent or legal guardian signs for each of their own children, by name. It takes about a minute.
Your signature on the Rental Agreement does not cover your guests. It covers you. That is not a loophole, it is simply the truth about what one person can sign for another, and the agreement says so in plain terms.
Why it is separate: you can agree to terms for yourself, but you cannot sign away another adult’s rights, and you cannot sign for someone else’s child. So each family handles their own.
What it says is that inflatable equipment carries real risk of injury even when everything is done right and every rule is followed. The signer acknowledges that, agrees to follow the safety rules, and releases us from claims arising from ordinary use, never from gross negligence or willful misconduct.
When a parent signs for a child, the parent is agreeing to the safety rules and releasing the parent’s own claims. It does not sign away the child’s own legal claim. Georgia law is not settled that a parent can do that before an injury, so we do not ask a parent to try.
How it works on the day. Our crew brings printed waivers to every delivery. People sign at setup, on an iPad or on paper, before anyone gets on the unit. It takes about a minute, and we do it while the equipment is going up, so nobody’s day gets held up.
Anyone under eighteen needs a parent or guardian’s signature. We leave forms with you at the unit, so a guest who arrives later can sign before they play.
If you would rather have it in advance. Big parties, school groups, and church events often want the waiver in hand early, so it can go out with the rest of the parent paperwork. Call us at 706-237-8070 and we will get it to you. For church, school, and camp events the organization cannot sign on behalf of participants, so parents still sign for their own children individually.
Getting those signatures is the renter’s job, and Section 9.4(a) of the agreement still puts it there. Every participant signs before use — that part has not changed, only where the signing happens. We are not trying to catch you out with it, and the crew walks people through it at the door. It matters because a signed waiver is how every person at the party has actually seen the rules before the first kid climbs the ladder, and that is the difference between a company that runs a professional operation and one that hands you a slide and drives off.
We make the weather call, and we make it early. You are not left guessing on the morning of your kid’s birthday.
The decision is ours, it uses National Weather Service forecast data for your event location, and you will hear it no later than 5:00 p.m. the day before your event. Not our ZIP code, yours.
We cancel for safety when the forecast shows any of these over your event window:
If we cancel before delivery for weather, you choose, and we do not choose for you:
That is the whole guarantee, and it only ever runs in your favor, because it only triggers when we are the ones calling it off.
Once the truck has run, the crew has set, and the unit is anchored in your yard, the cost is spent. If conditions turn dangerous after setup, shut it down and call us. We will come get it early for safety, but there is no refund or credit on a delivered rental.
If the forecast is borderline and you want us to come anyway, we can. Just go in with clear eyes about the line above.
Here is the schedule exactly as it reads in the agreement.
You get everything back, less any payment processing fees that were already charged and cannot be recovered.
No cash refund, but a credit equal to everything you paid, good for 12 months from your original event date.
The full payment remains due. At that point the date is gone and the slot cannot be resold.
That schedule has one deliberate exception, and it is the part we are proudest of.
Once per customer, we will waive the schedule entirely and move your reservation to any available date within 12 months, at no charge, for any reason at all — as long as you tell us before the crew leaves for delivery.
Any reason means any reason. A sick kid, a family emergency, a change of plans, or you simply decided not to. We are not going to ask you to justify it.
We built that in because the standard industry answer to “my daughter woke up with a fever” is “sorry, that is a total loss,” and that is a lousy way to treat someone. It is granted one time, it is not transferable to another person, and it is not a substitute for the weather guarantee. It is one real break, no questions asked.
10% off your rental total for veterans, active-duty military, and first responders.
That is it. No forms, no uploading documents, no waiting for approval.
The fine print, said plainly: the 10% applies to the rental total, not to delivery or tax. ID is checked at delivery, and if there is no ID, the undiscounted balance is what is due. We will remind you before the event so it is never a surprise at your front door.
We are a veteran-owned company. This one is not a marketing gesture.
Not off the table — we just cannot book it online yet. Georgia is where we are set up and licensed today, so South Carolina addresses will not go through our booking system right now. That is a registration and insurance question we are working through, not a distance one.
If you are close to Hartwell, call us at 706-237-8070 before you count us out. We would rather walk through your date with you and tell you honestly where things stand than turn you away at the door. You can also reach us at hello@eventedge.rentals. We are getting Georgia settled first, but we are not shutting the door on our neighbors across the line.
If something you need to know is not on this page, that is our mistake, not yours. Tell us and we will add it.
The easiest next step is to tell us your event date. We will confirm what is available, send you an exact all-in price with delivery and tax already in it, and you can decide from there. No pressure, no callback loop.
